  • How to emcee a gig. Each week new comics emcee the class sets.

  • How to get open mic gigs that will move your comedy forward –as part of the class you should be doing open mics regularly.

Boomers Zoomers Senior’s Angst Stories

Are you ready for Boomers Zoomers Seniors’ Angst?

Teenage angst is the feeling of being overwhelmed, anxious, rejected, or even unwanted. But what about the 50+ gang. Live Angst story showcases are one of the most popular “performance” platforms today and have been featured on CBC and in the Globe & Mail.

Are you haunted by your past mistakes? Is there something you have been hiding? Did you keep the diaries of your awkward menopause/teenage/single/divorced/jail incarceration/teenage pregnancy/unaccepting parents/shoplifting/peer pressure/ stages of your life?

Do you have some memoirs that you are never going to publish, but you would like to share? Let’s share those stories, written by you, in a safe and fun weekly class and then we can turn them into a live show. There is no need to memorize anything, as you get to read your stories.

Join this fun zoom group, as you weekly explore your old or newish writings. We will share journals, poetry, diaries, essays, and even songs that you are probably not proud of, and you may be embarrassed about.(they are usually the funniest) But now is the time to laugh about them or sometimes we cry too. You are welcome to share any stories, that you think need to be heard. A showcase will take place at the end of the classes. (participation is encouraged but you decide if you want to do it)

***if you are interested in bringing this workshop to your centre, please email janice@laughterzone101.com
